  1. I'm busy at work & haven't been on the forum recently... I've been assigned a new project that has me living at an RV park for the next 2 years. So, I strung up my ABG with some of those Fender Tapewounds & brought it down with me. I'm kicking myself for not getting a set of those strings sooner!

  3. Well, Kramer & Trucks both give the thumbs up, so if anyone, uh, hypothetically had a good looking violinist in their band they would be okay to date them.
  4. Early 80's model in great condition. I'm recently single (for about a month now) and the advances were made by her. Who am I to turn a girl down? No issues with the band. The singer/acoustic guitar player actually thinks its pretty cool, the drummer & lead guitar are on hiatus for family & work reasons respectively. I guess the caveat would be that the lead guitar player has a thing for her but never made a move. He's a friend and there might be a little friction, but that is personal not professional. Regardless, since she's gotten back from a 6-week gig in Europe and found me single she's shown her interest and started making advances on her own. I was really just curious if the old adage about "company ink" applied to a band situation that is not a significant source of income.
  5. For reference. Hypothetically of course.
  6. So... since this is the off topic thread... Would it be wrong to date the attractive young violin player in your band? Hypothetically speaking of course...
  7. Ah well, it was worth a shot. Thanks for your consideration anyway.
  8. I usually post on the bass forum, so I'm not sure if this is where this one goes. Bell Carillon 6V6 23 watt tube amp. Bored today and scouring Craigslist. Can you (or anyone else) tell me what this is and if it is worth $80? My Google skills aren't strong enough to give me any good info on this little nugget.
  9. Odd. WAG is the acronym for Wild A$$ Guess here in the US.
  10. I'm strongly leaning towards the Yamaha. I just can't justify the extra $80 for the PV10. I almost had myself talked into the PV10 USB that is going for $300, but better judgement kicked in. "Need" versus "Want" and all that.
  11. Yeah... so I tried waking up some of the other parts of the MP forums with this thread: /ubbthreads.php/ubb/showflat/Number/1765762/page/1#Post1765762 No responses, although I guess the forum was down all day. Here are the basics: Looking for a new mixer, like to keep it under $150. Considering the following: Behringer Xenyx 1204 Yamaha MG12/4 Peavey PV8 And this one, although it is out of my price range: Peavey PV10 Probably won't go Behringer for multiple reasons, I'm strongly considering the Yamaha. Thoughts?
