  1. I always thought that chorus was lame. Everyone said it was great but to me it sounded tinny and transistory.. Just sayin
  2. Myles you look hot in this picture, I didn't know you were Blonde heh. Happy Holidays!
  3. i cant wait to feel your love is a good one with the double stops. but no, it doesnt get easier than You really Got me..
  4. Myles, I just bought GT preamp tubes. I got an AT7 and 2 12ax7. Anyways, the 12 AX7 doesn't fit in my bivalve. it is too fat. I am baffled. Is it a bad tube or something? How can it not fit?
  5. Sometimes it is intimidating talking to people who know alot about something like tubes or amps, anything technical. The guy at JJ is sending me the tubes, but I felt a certain hostility. Like I am just some dumbass wasting his time because I am wrong. The reality is, I think I am right but I am not an expert. I hope I made the right choice, but that ringing feedback was pissing everyone off in the band, including myself and it didn't start until 4 days ago.
  6. Well, he is sending me new tubes. Did I make a mistake? I have never had an amp feedback when my volume on my guitar was off--and they didn't do this when I got them. Is this normal? I am not saying I know. When I tapped the top of the amp with the 34's there was no noise and no ANNOYING ringing feedback.
  7. Hey Myles, which tube is the phase inverter in a Bivalve? I am assuming the left one. Also, I wanted your opinion on my tubes. I had the Kt77's in and after 2 weeks my guitar started to feedback even when my guitar volume was turned off. Then when I tapped the top of the amp it sounded like a microphone. I put in the EL34's and it no longer fed back and no longer had the microphone thing. So I am assuming my Kt77's are microphonic. The guy at eurotubes is sending me new ones, but he said it has never happened 1 time to him with Kt77's. I just don't know what else could be wrong. I ruled out a bad preamp tube because the El34's had no problem.
  8. I sent Brett Garsed an email about the Flexi and he returned it. Nice person, incredible player. You ever hear his stuff Myles? Damn, that guy can play like a sumbitch. Definately world class on every level. I would love to see a tour with Brett Garsed, Eric Johnson, Hellecasters, Junior Brown. Tell me that wouldn't be a badass show?? OK no more clutter in the Myles forum, sorry.
  9. By the way, I am sorry to hear about Dr. Z's amp tech dying. Sad news, I am sure he was a classy guy.
  10. Myles, I was wondering. I have read a bunch of people, including Allan Holdsworth who use an attenuater outside of the one in the UNI or BIvalve. Is there a reason? Is the hotplate the same in the Bivalve as the regular Hotplate? I ordered some JJ KT 77's this week after reading countless positive reviews from people who are using them. The KT88's you suggested are next, I just wanted to get something a little closer to the E34L. My singer just bought an Airbrake for his VHT online. You said that the Airbrake is better than the hotplate. God after hearing the Brett Garsed clips of the Flexi 50 it makes me one to get one of those too. Any comments on the Flexi? How do you think the Flexi compares to the competition for the price?
  11. I figured as such. Would you say that the Bivalve is a very unique amp? I mean is the tone easily identified to you? Is there a bottleneck in its design that you dislike? Dude, you are a very admirable/generous person with the knowledge you possess. Thanks for everything in this forum and otherwise.
  12. Myles you know I am stoked about the Bivalve. BUt am I missing out? Is there something better for me? I can't wait to hear the 65/45 with the airbrake.
  13. Hmmn, well it shows you what I know. I can play some stuff like Eddie I think, or I have been told. Maybe thats why it sounds like that to me. SO the Marshall would sound bigger than the Bivalve? What about todays DSL and TSL Marshalls? My Bivalve seems to have better low end and cuts more. Damnit, I wish I could come over and check out your amps and hear a bunch of talk that is way over my head.
  14. Hey Myles I was curious. DO you think it is possible to emulate the first VH 1 sound with a Bivalve? I think it is, but some other guy is arguing saying it won't be possible. I know it doesn't matter, I don't play any Van Halen in my band. It is just the childhood fantasy of playing Unchained and having it exact! With the 6L6 it sounds identical if I crank the volume. The El34 sounded a little to fuzzed.
