  1. I remain of two minds on this. On the one hand I have always enjoyed recreating as faithful to studio recording performance as I could. It offers challenges that are unlike anything else. But, I like to be free to make my own decisions and take my own approaches too. I guess this is how it will always be.
  2. Thanks for this. Seems that the X50 was in MIDI 11. I removed some other devices and it jumped up below MIDI 10 and that fixed it. Seems like KORG should address why their drivers must be in the first page of available MIDI positions. thanks again.
  3. Interestingly enough I watched DEVO performing with Neil Young on Hey Hey My My just this afternoon
  4. I have done all of the above. Everything checks out EXCEPT that the Korg shows up like this: As you can see it has a speaker icon next to it and is listed under "Bluetooth & other devices" That doesn't seem right. It will dissapear/reapear if I unplug and replug in the usb cable.
  5. My X50 editor in Windows 10 has started playing up and I can't find a fix anywhere. It used to work but now when I start the program it says: "X50 Hardware is not found. Rescan whole all MIDI devices?" OK and CANCEL buttons beneath. I checked the drivers. Uninstalled and reinstalled everything. Looked for updates. Even edited my registry as recommended in one help video. Problem persists. I did initially have issues running this software in Windows 10 last year but the same helpful online advice I have already followed did the trick and got it to work. Now only this error. Anyone know what I can try?
  6. I was in a Doors tribute band for a while and authentic recreation was the name of the game. From the equipment to the clothing but most importantly the music. With the exception of the solos (where I took liberties after doing the note for note version) we tried to sound just like the recordings. I'm not in a tribute band any longer (thank god) and am embarking on doing a by myself thing in a busking situation. I don't really do covers at all in this mode, but I found myself meandering into one as I was inspired by a factory preset in my keyboard. It was a different tempo, different groove and completely new feel for this old chestnut. I really dug it. Now, I'm thinking about possibly revisiting my old repertoire and putting a completely personal flavor on everything. Opinions? Faithful or playful?
  7. What about this thing? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09LS718PL/ref=syn_sd_onsite_desktop_0?ie=UTF8&pd_rd_plhdr=t&th=1
  8. It's one of the three options I put in my post. Question: Wouldn't putting larger circumference wheels on the back make the whole thing nosedive?
  9. We used to have this blue folding wagon to take our beach stuff to the (you guessed it) beach. I searched high and low for it this afternoon and cannot find it anywhere, but I'm pretty sure it would be just the ticket. Nice big wheels that can do 360 degrees, adjustable handle for pulling and the whole thing folds up like an accordion. I searched for similar on Amazon and they aren't cheap. This one looks best to me so far: Competing concepts are the following: https://www.amazon.com/Cosco-Shifter-300-Pound-Capacity-Multi-Position/dp/B01IFMSKAQ/ref=sr_1_19?crid=71AAJDMJQNNX&keywords=musicians%2Bhand%2Btruck&qid=1684794490&sprefix=musicians%2Bhand%2Btruck%2Caps%2C84&sr=8-19&th=1#customerReviews and https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07W4GG2MT/ref=sspa_dk_detail_5?pf_rd_p=f734d1a2-0bf9-4a26-ad34-2e1b969a5a75&pf_rd_r=V0KPD7TG5NZQ48GHR8Y8&pd_rd_wg=9jCkn&pd_rd_w=r9VM1&content-id=amzn1.sym.f734d1a2-0bf9-4a26-ad34-2e1b969a5a75&pd_rd_r=7ee176ad-23f3-4918-9257-601d6e0da8e8&s=musical-instruments&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9kZXRhaWw&th=1 and I have indeed looked into the rock n rollers so there's those too
  10. Don't you guys think I should have sides? Like on a wagon or something? I'm kind of scared of my gear dropping off behind me
  11. One or two 61 key keyboards in cases Boss Cube Street II Single or double tier keyboard stand Folding stool (negotiable) cables AC power bank Refreshments (water etc.) I live two blocks from the boardwalk and want to be able to take the gear from my front door to said boardwalk. There are ramps to enter the boardwalk as well. Eventually I will need to be able to take this transport onto the LIRR and around Manhattan if the cosmos will it.
