Hey, im new with Mixing desks and im helpin a frined make a studio...so i was wandering :
Say ive miced up a drum kit with 7 mics and on Cubase i want each mic to go onto a seperate track/channel, Can i do that with this Mixing Desk http://www.dolphinmusic.co.uk/page/shop/flypage/product_id/3755 ??
or do i need a digital mixing desk...

If your Cubase accepts mutiple inputs it should be no problem. I suppose you could use the channel insert points to tap a signal to your Cubase inputs. But this would likely be pre-EQ and pre-fader so you would have to adjust the gain with your mic pre's. I didn't look at the manual. If you have channel direct outs, that would be a better way to go. Or, you could group the drums to 4 tracks and use the subgroup outputs. [Sub1-KICK - Sub2-SNARE - Sub3-DRUMS Left - Sub4-DRUMS Right]. I used to do that all the time. Good luck! S.
