hi all,
i'm thinking of doing some budget home recording on my computer.. i'll be recording vocals.. electric guitars.. and electronic drum set.. and after doing quite some research.. i concluded a good start is with..
M-Audio Audiophile 2496 PCI card Behringer UB802 mixing board Shure SM58 mic
i have a soundblaster audigy card with creative 5.1 speakers on my computer now.. i'm wondering if it'll work together with the M-audio card.. ie using the existing card for playback/monitoring while recording with the M-audio card.. i know i should get studio monitors but like i said im on a budget.. so im just wondering if its a really bad idea.. or if it can work at all..
and if it does work do i send the 1) main from the mixing board to the line on the audigy and tape out to m-audio 2) main to m-audio and out from m-audio to audigy 3) main to m-audio and able to select internally line out audigy..
thanks for any advice you can give.. and comments on the basic setup are most welcome
