Hi, I was wondering if anyone here could recommend me a good book on the music/entertainment business. I'm not looking for the How to get signed type of book, but rather a book that discusses the markets, financing, legal status, composition, succesful/unsuccessful ventures... that kind of thing. Business oriented...

The perfect book:

Confessions of a Record Producer by Moses Avalon

You will get the inside scoop on managers, producers, engineers, and what their roles are. You learn about royalties and contracts, etc. You will love it.

I second the recommendation for "Confessions of a Record Producer" by Moses Avalon. It's a good book.
