A friend of mine has a complete Digidesign AVID Pro Control system that he doesn't need. He got it through a business deal when a local studio went bottom up but has no use for it since he does not have his own studio.

He's pretty busy so I'm helping him out trying to find what would be the best way to try and resell it. I've posted it on what ever respectable used gear sites I can find but I'm finding it's really tough to get responses on a piece of studio gear worth $40K new.

Anyone have any suggestions on what's the best way to sell used studio gear in great condition without having to sell it to a 3rd party broker?

Any and all ideas would be most welcome.
Thanks.

I've seen a lot of stuff on ebay.com. Yes, everyone is looking for the deal of a lifetime there and wants your stuff as long as they can pay about 10% of what it is actually worth.

Since you have a computer, or at least access to one, try searching for used equuipment brokers.
They will take a percentage, however; they will probably get you more for your gear than you could get for it yourself.

On the otherhand, you could contact all of the possible places that use that particular piece of equipment and try contacting them your self to see if they have a need for another system.
