Phil Nicolo has a nice place in Philly, or you might look at Eden Cohen's SoundGun for a little less money.

it would really help a bit to have an idea of a budget - or at least a musical style. Wait - I just looked at your handle - a rock place then...

Depending on your budget, you could look at Blue Meanie, Longview Farms, or Jay Kahr's "Mad Moose Recording". The prices vary...

We are looking for somthing fairly cheap, mabey around 50$ an hour

There aren't any good studio's in NYC!

Lots of great rooms here ranging from inexpensive to holy cow! These days just make some calls (even to the "holy cow" places), you'd be surprised at the amount of great rooms willing to take on small budget projects.

I have a small, but dope pro tools studio in NYC - perfect for tracking everything but drums, and great for mixing (Dynaudio monitors and load of plug-ins)
