Here's a question to all of you who have done personal endorsement ads for gear.
Do you endorse only gear you LOVE and use all the time or do you (would you) endorse gear that was ok for the price?
I've heard buzz from some saying, "yea, the box is ok, but they gave me two of them for free so I'll endorse it."
Just looking for an honest answer, I consider myself an "audio slut" myself so you won't get judged by me.

shit, ill stand there for a pic if somebody gave me something free. everything has a use for SOMETHING. im not a purist so im not into all this snobbery. i havent heard something that i dont really like at all. ive torn apart very basic fx and rewired them for an effect. ive gotten great sound on things that were <$100.
a gear slut merely has the complusion to buy new stuff. a gear snob will only buy "the best". a gear whore will take anything anytime and figure out a way to use and abuse it.

I did some endorsements for the Mackie digital 8 buss when it first came out. I've since gone the digital hard disk route but still and probably always will have a mackie laying around. I have great respect for Greg Mackie and his company. However, I bought my mackie digital and will continue to buy products that help me get the job done, if someone wants to use my mug shot, regarding a product that I like, cool. But as far as freebies, one column over to the left please, Roger owns these guys.

Speaking as a total gear slut......I probably have come too close to over endorsing stuff, but I only endorse stuff that they give me for free......just kidding. I get asked a lot to try out new gear, and I only endorse stuff that I really like. I have even endorsed gear that I have had to pay for....even retail (right Karen?). The A-T stuff that I have I really think is great....4060's and especially the headphones. The Royer ribbons are fabulous. That nice bikini underwear really makes my butt look great (so I have been told), but I won't allow pictures.

Yes, Karen, it's true, I am having a great time with my E-8's......and by the way, Bette really loves hers, too......although she had to redecorate to match the stripes.

Well you're getting the "Fatso" for FREE to demo, and maybe, at cost if you like it.
