Hi Ed, don't know if this question can be answered on your forum... I have a JP8000, and every time I record with it using a synth pad or strings, it's not in tune with the other music I just recorded with guitar, bass, vocals etc. Master tuning is set to 440...I have other boards as well. They all connect through Motu Xpress Xt. Don't have this problem with any other boards. any comments would be appreciated
Thanks Frozen

Can't you tune it by ear??
Resonance and filters often alter the tuning, and since analog pad sounds often use a lot of lowpass filter, it is a good idea to tune them by ear.
Just because the master tuning says 440, doesn't mean the sound actually is at exactly that.
The JP8000 is pretty easy to program, so you can actually go and set the tuning on the oscillator page, and store that with the preset once you have found the right tuning for 440.

I didn't know there was an oscillator page. I usually go to the JP8000 make the sound I want by messing with all the buttons, then record. I'm going to try to tune it like you said, I hope it works, I need the massive pad patch to be in tune with the rest of the song.... Thanks Frozen
