Craig recently gave us the website address for the "vinyl simulator" plugin. Thank you, Craig! I downloaded it, and it's great. I was surprised you could get something so deluxe for free! Is there any more like that out there...Free?

check out http://www.thedirectxfiles.com/plugins.htm Some free, some shareware, some demos. They have links to other sites with free stuff, also.

If you get the FX-Pansion Dir-x to VST adapter($60.00) you'll accsess to hundreds of quility free VST plugins not mention virtual instruments as well. There's also a lot of quality inexpensive plugs and instruments in the VST format.

I highly recommend VST-DX as well. It has done a great job of letting me use VST instruments within Sonar, as well as given access to a lot of cool plug-ins.
The files at http://www.mda-vst.com have been very useful to me. I hear good things about their soft synth, too...hmmm...guess I need to download that next.

Hey all, Thanks for the info!
Latin Music, I have a recent copy of Recording Mag. that lists the various types of plugins, (see below) -VRML was not listed, it may be something new?
TDM AudioSuite RTAS VST MAS DirectX Soundscape Scope Premiere Logic Hardware Based (TC Powercore, etc.)
