i have yet to be in a session where i can get anything usable out of either of them. i dont pay attention enough to compare the two nor have i had both at the same time. i dont like the amps line6 or johnson make either. it usually presents itself of overdubs after a take with an amp seeing about another sound. tried everything direct to the units but they just sound poopy compared to a roaring amp, or even tiny practice amps. i think the main difference was fx [pod] and cabinet choices [ampfarm]. i could be wrong.
i would still rather set up several amps to get the sound. it just sounds MUCH better. there isnt much on the entire modeling front that interests me except maybe the roland vdrums, those things are badass. but i still havent seen the midi output on one yet.
