I purchased an old octapad and one of the pads is disconnected from the solder joint on the sensor. So I cracked it open in an attempt to resolder the joint. For some reason I can't get any solder to hold. I've seen problems like this on Sony headphones because of some sort of proprietary coating on their wire - is this the same problem or am I doing something wrong?
