I was reading through some old magazines last night and came across an ad for a device called "The Positioner" from Studio Techniques. This allowed microphone placement to be adjusted from within the control room - where the adjusted sound can be properly & quickly assessed. This struck me as a great idea. I think the company is now defunct. Does anybody have any experience with this product or know of something similar.
