Remember those are just the PAYPAL figures, not the DEC figures through our site.

And I've been too busy to network. I almost missed a paying gig because of my trip south to mix Ted's song. Been scrambling to compensate ever since I got back!

I'll start my networking today, I promise.

BTW, Shars, how do we know the amount of money our site/song has raised? Thanks!

Thanks guys, its to cool that people have dontaed directly to us and all the funds can now be sent to the DEC with a letter to say who its from.

We have no way of telling howmch has been raised when payed directly to the DEC but at least they are getting the funds.
I will askk Phait to put up something to indicate how much we have raised as we get it in and also the number of hits we get per day.
Is that ok?

well i for one have got several replys from friends saying that they have donated through our DEC link.. so its all good.

I also got an email from an indian family i stayed with who have 2 sri lankan son-in-laws, and they were all in sri lanka when the tsunami hit. They run a charity in india themselves and were extremely touched to hear of all our work!! So Thanks from the Onawale family too guys!

Great news shars.. although ten times that would be better.. and ten times that would be better still!! ;\) so keep annoying, spamming, pestering, what ever you all have to do!! \:\) I wrote out a good text message to send the the Joe Wiley show on radio one, cos she likes to mention this kind of thing, but when i tried to send it my phone had been cut off from lack of bill payment. i'll persuade shar to do it before i go away this w/e. :p

Guys

I wanted to tell you the total raised so far is now £266.20 GBP so thats $498.646 USD.
I have transfered all the money into my account and this will take 5-7 days to clear into the account and then I will pay this over by card to the DEC.
I have tried to no avail contacted the DEC re paying it in via PP to them but i have had no answer so far s I am backing myself up here to let you know what is happening with the money and where it is step by step.
As soon as its recieved into my account, I will pay it via Visa Electron to the DEC over the phone or via their form on our website and then I will provide the reciept here for you all to see.

I certainly dont want anyone be it here on MP or anywhere else thinking we are scamming and all of our affairs here (bar loggin details to the PP acc or my acc for that matter \:D ) are open for people to see if they so wish.
I will let you all know once i have cleared funds and also the minute I hand of the donations from FOF to the DEC.
Is this ok with you guys?

signed: Sharmin Hall http://www.funkmanagementuk.com and ask for address if you need to confirm who I am.
(just so you know who I am via any outside source)

Oh and I have told Nursers and he can back it up as he has all the loggin details for the PP acc and details of my person bank acc that the money is going into just so theres a overlooker and someone to backup on all money matters.
We cant be accused of being shitheads at least as all the affairs of FOF are open for people sto see.

I just launched a potentially large "wave" of donation contacts today. I'm hoping this will increase our donations by hundreds of dollars.

I just found out today that my mom and her partner donated US$1,000 last week to the Red Cross for the purpose of tsunami disaster relief. She makes me proud. \:\)

A lovely email we received after Selena made a generous donation:

I’m so proud of all of you. You’ve touched my heart with all your hard work and sweet music.

I hope your offer continues to bring in much needed donations for quite some time. I also wish for you that karma brings you much needed support and care when you might need it most as well.

~Selena

I thought she was dead. I thought some nutball crazed fan that was her fanclub manager killed her...

Oh, maybe that's a different Selena.

What's the grand total raised so far, Shars? I know it's around US$1,500+.

BTW, I can update the site, if no one else has the time or inclination. Death count is now over 225,000.

Ted, I know what you mean.
Its really getting rather deperate out there.
Main thing is people like yourself care and want to help.
Lets carry on doing what are doing and help where we can.

Not to be a pest, but just a friendly reminder to put the latest numbers on the web site. It's been about a week. I'm thinking every couple of days there needs to be something on there, at least just the updated toll and amount raised.

I'm sure this has been brought up already.
