WOW !!! I've just read every article on this form this AM and am trying to gather all the necessary info. I've been reading through the posts to make sure this included audio tracks, but still haven't downloaded the program just yet. Q: I'm already a CuBase user but it's an older version 3.0_XT. I'm wondering if anyone knows if the free download version is any better ??? I've got a dongle on my computer for CuBase, I presume this isn't necessary with the free version ???? What about midi files .. are the sounds just standard midi sounds??? I've got a Proteus 2000 and D-5 for example, how do other users hear what I'm hearing, without converting everything to audio ???? Do people on the other end just see that it's drums or it's a string patch or whatever and find something they have that sounds good ????

If this things works for me, I can see being able to provide a service for anyone wanting to get Nashville players on their project without having to get on a plane and spend a ton of $$$. Nashville is hardly just country music, we've got a pretty healthy scene and some of the best players and songwriters on the planet.

I'll look forward to anyones reaction.

Russ

Wow ... this is turning into a lot of work for me .... s'ok ..... I love my work ....

Many of your questions can be answered by looking at the thread here

As far as midi goes ... if others have your sound modules, it will sound the same.

Makes sense eh....

If not, then it will sound like .... whatever... many people use GM sounds ... and that sound varies.

I tend to just print my k2500 sounds to audio and post those.

Cubase 3 will not work on rocket.

The free version is limited in it's functionality.

And, yes ... beats the heck outa jet lag!
