This question has probably been asked several times but I can't seem to find a definitive answer. (Perhaps there isn't one) Anyway I hope someone may have suggestions for me.

My objective is to use my Focusrite Voice Master Pro mic pre in a channel of my Midas Venice 320 console however I would like to bypass the Midas pre. Can someone guide me in the proper direction?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hey Jan, welcome aboard.

I don't know how your Midas's input strips are laid out, but I'd try going from the Focusrite's (unbalanced: -10 DBv) line out to the channel's 'insert' jack(probably inserted only half way). You should end up after the Midas's pre, but may loose the EQ/Monitor functions.. depending on where they are in the channel signal flow layout. You could also try the channel 'direct in' jack, if the Midas has that option. 'Line in' will not bypass the Midas's pre.

Good luck, Paul
