I'm using a split combination on my Korg(Bass/Organ). When I send the send second keyboard sounds I would like to send them only the Organ side of the split combination.
Can this be done thru the midi cable?

It's a korg Triton. I'm trying to send via the midi cable from a Radio shack keyboard to my korg. It's working ok but, I don't want to hear the radio keyboard sounds in the bass side of my split combination.
Thanks

Use separate midi channels for each keyboard.

Example:

Keybd1 (split)
-- bass: Channel 1
-- organ: Channel 2

Keybd2
-- whatever: Channel 3
(or any channel besides 1 or 2)

Avoid using channel 10, it's usually used for drums.

Connect the keyboards in series:
Keybd1 MidiOut---->Keybd2 MidiIn
Keybd2 ThruOut---> Has both Keyboards on same cable, but each instrument using it's own channel.
