DOES IT SOUND POSSIBLE THAT MY NUEMANN TLM103 MIC COULD HAVE BROKEN AFTER FALLING 7FT FROM A COLLAPSING SHELF IN ITS CASE - RECENTLY PURCHASED A AVALON MIC PRE AND WHEN I WENT TO USE IT THE MIC WAS DEAD, I ALSO AM A NEW ENGINEER OF SORTS AND WAS WONDERING IF I NEED ANY ADDITIONAL POWER FOR THIS MIC - HELP

1) Check that phantom power is engaged on the Avalon mic pre. Check the Neumann website to find out if your mic needs an external power supply instead of phantom power...if you bought the mic new it should have come with the power supply already.

2) Yes, a 7-foot fall could have damaged a very sensitive and delicate condenser microphone, even in its case.

HEY I Recently purchased a Dangerous ST . can anybody tell me why one of my monitors is slightly louder than the other,......i check the levels and switches that they all matched - thnks J.U
