Does anyone have a good method of cleaning bar filth off of mic and instrument cables?

Thanks!

Most cabling can be cleaned with just hot water and a cloth. For those cables duct tape residue or similar, use a cloth dampened with WD-40 to dissolve the adhesive residue. WD-40, the roadie's secret weapon!

Definately, Mark!

The simple way to clean the cable is to hold the rag or paper towel in one hand, and pull the cable through that hand with the other. You can easily adjust pressure to get the filth without getting snagged to much on chunks. And sometimes chunks is exactly the word. If you've ever worked the Mud & Dust circuit (state & county fairs) you know exactly what I mean.

I use a product called "Rubber Renue" it's made by M.G. Chemicals.

Works well.
