How many of you believe in using power conditioners on your amplifiers? From what I seen on the market, it seems that most of the common power conditioners available are not designed to handle the load that an average power amp could demand. I think Furman makes a 20 amp conditioner, but it pretty expensive. Worth the investment?

I guess you have to ask the question, "What are you conditioning for?" My answer is yes, you can use the 15 and 20 ampere power conditioner boxes for this purpose. If spike protection is all you need, than an el cheapo power strip at the bottom of the amp rack is good enough.

Most power amps are fairly immune to EMI/RFI so that feature is usually wasted. Most power conditioners with voltage regulation are pretty spendy and usually not beefy enough for more than one or two power amps. Brown-outs are the most common power problem for amp racks and the cure is usually focussed at beefing up you power distro methods. If you power your PA from portable genny carts often, having voltage surge/brownout protection via a voltage regulator is mandatory; especially the signal processing racks.
