This should cause some lively discussions...
For live music, who makes the best Professional Quality:
FOH Speakers Sub-Woofers Mixers Digital Reverb Graphic Equalizers Power Amps Vocal Microphones
I'll post my totally unbias answers later

I think Peter is right on. You can't argue with that list. However, I think I would give the edge to Allen & Heath over Mackie. Even though I use a Mackie and it's a great board, Allen & Heath really put all functions you need into a live mixing console. As far as FOH speaker, I use the EAW LA series, awsome speakers. The only pitfalls, they are expensive, heavy, and love lots of power. The EV MT-1 subs and the T252's full range make a great system. The MT-1's are extremely efficient as are the 252's. I would recommend EV if you don't want to spend a ton of money on amps. I have seen an EV system (2 full range 252's and two MT-1's) run on a single Crown 2400, and it really rocked. I would never attempt that on my EAW's.

Here's yet another opinion....
FOH Speakers-EAW, Meyer, Turbosound Subs-Bag End+ above Mixer- Yamaha(gotta love the PM series), Crest, Allen & Heath Reverb- Yamaha, TC Electronics EQ- Klark-Teknik, BSS Power Amps-Crown, QSC Vocal Mics- Audix (totally love them) Shure Beta Series (definitely NOT the Beta-Green series) And why don't we go ahead and mix in favorite dynamics processors while we're at it?

It shoudl be noted that the key to rigs like the EAW850 or the EV MT or even better X-Array have a system processor that makes all the difference in the world. Anyone looking to get into a real rig shoud go ahead and spend an xtra $3000 on the processor/crossover. Here is a place you can find package rigs for $10,000 - $150,000.

As far as the topic... I only have one mixer to add... the Harrison LPC or "ShoConsole"
