I'm a drummer who sings and much prefers to where a headset mic. I'm currently using an AKG C420 and getting a lot of bleed from the snare drum. We set the gains for my vocal channel and end-up clipping that channel due to the SPL coming from the snare. Any suggestions? Also wondering is the Crown CM311 will do a better job?

I am a drummer as well and use the Crown 311. I have NEVER had a problem with feedback OR bleedthrough. Our stage sound is pretty loud and I run a HOT monitor too. I would suggest renting one for a weekend and seeing how it goes.
