I would like to hear from anyone with hands-on experience with Carvin S/L consoles. Likes? Dislikes? Overall quality?

I have a Carvin Studiomate console and it has pretty good features for the price. If you need reasonable capabilities, and you do not have alot of budget, then Carvin consoles are to be considered.

I can tell you from experience that Carvin makes some of the nicest gear ever. I do not work for them or anything like that so I am not biased. Guitar wise, I've played nearly every brand in my 35 years of gigging and when I finally got my first Carvin, I realized I had the best...AND for a lot less! I also have a studio mate non powered mixer and it is built like a tank and is super quiet! Carvin has anything you could want ranging from entry level budgets to the top of the line stuff. Make no mistake-- You will NOT be sorry you went with Carvin. An aside: Walk into any music store and they will probably tell you everything bad they can think of (which will be nothing) about Carvin. The reason? Carvin sells only factory direct eliminating the greedy middle man and you save. BIG TIME! Enough said. Just do it my friend! You won't be sorry. Good Luck to you!
