My band just cut a new demo, and we're looking to do the duplication ourselves. I will be using my PC to burn the cd's, I just don't know what kind or recordable CD's are the best. I've heard horror stories about recorded disks not playing in all CD player, and wanted to make sure I have good quality media before I start. I've found pretty good prices on Kodak, Verbatim, Maxell, Quantegy, and a few others. Any suggestions?

I have had major problems with Kodak media. Verbatim and Maxell are fine and you can also find deals on Imation which is good. Quantegy is a new one on me. Best bet is to go with Maxell. If you want a leg up on label and jewel case artwork software, I can clue ya in on that too. Good Luck, may your burns be true.

Thanks for the reply. The best price I've found is Kodak - so I'm glad you said something. Any other hints you can give me (labels, etc..) would be a big help. Is there any difference between the color of the media (ie, gold/blue/silver)??
