I'm looking to purchase a Digitech Studio Vocalist soon, but have no experience with it. Is it hard to use? Comments?

There is no quick answer . Several items must be qualified first. Will it be used in the studio or live ?? Are you a solo or part of a group?? As far as the piece itself, it is a relatively straight foward unit, but there are many options available to you and it is best to know specifically how and what you want to do. Sorry I couldn't be more specific.

I have used both the Studio Vocalist and the Vocalist Performer. The Studio sounds better but the Performer is WAY easier to use. We have a single female backing vocalist in my band and we use it both as a doubler and to provide extra harmonies. Especially withing the mix of the band it sounds pretty good.

Ease of use on the Studio is very much dependent on how you use it. If you are using MIDI sequences and can use those to control the Studio it works well but it very much requires a lot more work on the front end.
