I'm looking to purchase a couple of vocal monitors, and was looking at the EAW SM200. A friend mentioned I should also look at Bag End's TA2000. I am familiar with EAW's speakers, but have not actually heard any of Bag End's stuff. Anybody got any feedback?

I haven't heard Bad End speakers personally, but Chick Corea uses them, so they probably ain't too bad...

Bag End is a very good company with some interesting products. Absolutely not a no-name. They make screaming lightweight rigs.

I too am currently getting ready to change monitors for my live rig. I am looking very hard at the Radian 8" coax monitors. The only issue facing me is Rider pref's. If this is for yourself that's not an issue for you.
I have heard these a few times. Very impressive for vocals. They are low profile and small footprint. Don't let it's small size fool you. It will keep up with many 12"s.

learn something new everyday!

i STILL stick to inexpensive, tried and true methods when it comes to stage. i'll try anything in the studio, but on stage i dont want to worry about gear problems.

if corea uses them, i'd bet they sound good!

I've never heard their monitors, but I can tell you that Bag End makes some GREAT bass cabs.

I'm sure EAW's or bag ends are great. If you can use a powered monitor you might want to check out the Mackie SRM 450's. We have been using them for about a year and everyone thinks they are the best they have ever heard.

When someone warms up for us or sits in the first comment is always about how incredible the monitors are.
