I do a solo act, guitar, vocals, keys, with my own MIDI tracks. Am currently working on a CD, blah blah...anyway, I want to have a website created. How do I do this? Who do I contact to create one? Don't know the first thing about this? Help anyone???
Thanks
LG

Go to google and type in website design. You could get someone to do a rudimentary site...if you are paying more than $100 startup and $10 a month maintenance, you are getting jacked.

If you want a bit more detail and a high end site (but it'll cost you), contact Phait on these boards. If you want to pay even more, contact me.

Just caught this thread. Thanks for suggesting me zeronyne \:\)

First, don't let my avatar fool you. I do honest business. ;\) Ask DallasPA from here, I designed http://www.trilogysound.com for him. My portfolio is offline right now, but some examples of my work are at the current site http://www.phait-accompli.com ...

My rate is $35/hour for a website package (this includes logo/graphics/code). I generally round to the nearest half-hour. If the total time taken to complete the site is 2 hours and 50 minutes it'd be $105. If it was something like 1 hour 37 minutes it'd be about $52.50 (half the rate per-half-hour,$17.50). The proofing process is such that I'll update the client with a screenshot of the current design (watermarked), and if they approve of it, they get the complete site once I'm payed.

You're probably looking for a host too. While there's so many out there I've been on http://www.cyberpixels.com for almost a year, cheapest rate there is $66 for 200 MB space, 5 GB bandwidth. They also provide 1 free domain with order.
