Hi all,

I'm thinking about getting some investment (nothing big but more than I'll have
anytime soon) to set up a company and have it go through its first few months and
thought some of you might know some about venture capital / private investors / ...
so on and / or have had experiences and could give me some advice
Any comments, tips and more appreciated
Thanks

Marco

i'd go to rich friends and family members first. it's the only way to negotiate a decent deal. there are investment companies and private investors, but they always want 50% of the profits or more. we were able to get about $50K from this rich yuppie couple we knew who thought it was just cool to support a music-related venture. they only get 20% of the profits, which is virtually unheard of. if you are going to seek people out, make sure you have a good business plan written up that explains exactly what you're trying to do and how the company/invention/ whatever will be set up. rich people are not stupid. miko
