I am a guitarist/singer and have recently entered the world of computer-based recording. I am looking for a drum program to complete my studio and could use some help selecting the "right" program.

A friend of mine has Groove Agent, and although it's easy to use the drums don't sound that great. The quality of the samples seem about "average" and the actual drum patterns generated aren't very creative or inspiring.

Can anyone recommend a program that doesn't demand too much programming or tweaking to get a high quality sounding and inspiring drum track?

Thanks for your thoughts!

Brad

Native Instruments Battery 2 is excellent and easy. fxpansion BFD is one of the top dogs and also one of the most expensive. Another easy way is a hardware drum machine that would be a hands on approach that easily intergrates via midi into an audio application.

Apple soundtrack. If you have an Apple computer, that is.

Hi rebonn and all,

What's a good hardware drum machine nowadays. Something along the lines of the Linn drum in it's time. Quality over price.

Thanks,

Robert
