Does anyone know? I've got a Yamaha DTX v2.0 brain and cymbal pads plus Pintech drum pads right now. It actually works really well, but the realistic cast shells of these Pintech drums make more noise than I want right now (have to drum while my 2 yr old daughter is napping!). I've found a newer Yamaha DTXExpress pad kit for sale with no brain...sound like a perfect extension, if the newer pads will work with the older brain.

If you know the answer, please post!

TIA!
Dave

Don't quote me on this, but they should work fine. I used to have the DTX v2 with the rubber pads. BTW, those pads are pretty loud too.
