I love YouTube. Probably because I was MTV-deprived as a child. The Who on The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour This made be want to try and become a bass player.

wow, really loved D'Angelo.. the band sounded so good- was that Eric Clapton on guitar? and it was sad to see and hear the great, great, late Don Alias on percussion, God keep you, Don. Grooving things up in Heaven

His name is Jon Evans and I've been an admirer of his since seeing that footage when it was broadcast. I saw Tori a few years back and she didn't have a guitarist with her that night - Jon filled in all the gaps with such style. That link is for the bottom section, not the Canadian author Jon Evans.

Silly Drummer Skills NOT a favorite bass clip, but it is entertaining and if you watch till the end you'll see the drummer pull off something pretty amazing.
