He says in his listing
"The guard wil look like it just came from Fender 5 minutes ago..."
So why not just buy one that was made 5 minutes ago and save 1075 dollars?

If I liked Strats & P Basses more, I'd consider this. Of course, it would have to come with the do-it-yourself skills that I so sorely lack.

Hmmm... looks like a Less-than-Les-Paul bass to me. With the exchange rate, I doubt I'd even pay 60 pounds for this "vintage" piece. And waht's with the bridge? I know part of it is broken off, but the basic design looks nasty to begin with.

So... You say your Jazzbass is just not as heavy as you'd like it to be over 3 sets?

Or, maybe you have some songs in your set that require a drop D tuning, but you just can't figure out those electronical tuning gizmos,
then this may just be for you:

Ah, genius

At least it looks well made.

Peace,

wraub

Decent price, at least. Hmmm... BEAD and EADG.
Is it just camera/flash glare, or does the pickguard look a bit warped?

I believe that is a "Kay" logo on the pickguard. Anybody want to confim?

Arrgh. If Sean hadn't had dice fret markers installed, I would have considered this thing. The maple on the fretboard is really pretty.

You know, I went down to the East Brunswick GC last Friday and bought this very bass.

Wonder why it's still up for bid ?

Nice MM, Kenfxj! Did you pay the current bid price, or less? Maybe the guy who sold it to you (or their web-guy) doesn't come in until Tuesday (when the auction will be over)? Or they're hoping to get another one in quickly... though that's an unusual finish. See if you can outbid-or underbid- yourself, then return it.

Thanks, Dan.

I actually did some trade-ins, so I wound up paying about $300 out of pocket. The finish is really something to see.

It actually doesn't bother me that it's still up for bid - I just find it kind of amusing.

I like how they scroll at the bottom: "Christmas Day Frisk"- HUH?!?!?!? This is so out there it's just mind boggling... or numbing. I think on the Guitar Forum they linked to an auction by the same people, for a Strat that was "an antique" but only $1, plus $120.00 shipping. The E-Bay security squad must be napping.

Good price - $230 - on Flite 112 with 4.5" mid - excellent condition, weighs 24 pounds, 500 watts RMS if I recall. I thought about buying this one and retrofitting it with a new state-of-art neo subwoofer from BMS, but after a couple days to decide I want a box made especially for that I'll pass the tip on:

Well, it's obviously worth at least one pound.
I wonder what he would charge to ship it. \:D

Shipping is a bargain at only 165 pounds (about $290).

It looks quite nice, although I think the headstock is a little out of place.
