I think it's true. I also think it's a brand I've never heard of offered by a dealer who sells lots of brands I've never heard of that are very inexpensive.
There are degrees of good deals. Cheap is sometimes good. This bass is Scary Cheap, which makes me wonder if the children who assembled it polished off their fingerprints before putting into the shipping container. On the other hand it may be decent, but I'd be confirming their return policy before buying.

WAH pedal mounting kit
For the bikers out there, you could do this with some chain master links links from a motorcycle shop.

Yes, the metal piece is for the neck tilt adjustment. The other side of the bass has a spot where an allen wrench goes.
It's a reasonably useful feature...it's like putting a shim in the pocket...except that it's adjustable while the neck it on. See if you can find instructions for what it does on the Fender web site.
I think I'd pass on this particular item if I were looking for parts, though, I think you can do better than that, and a three bolt system limits you a lot in what neck you can put on it.

thanks Jeremy. I was thinking the same thing on neck availability myself. 'sides its a bit more than what i'm willing to pay for a body. heck, could get a MIM body complete with pups, guard, bridge, control plate for that price.

This is an example of the real flaw in Ebay's feedback system.
Check out this guys two latest feedback transactions. LINK
In the second to latest transaction, he buys a Marshall acoustic amp. If you went through the pointless exercise of looking at the feedback he left for the store, you'd see that he claimed that the ad didn't specify it was used (it does). He also claims that the speaker distorts.
But then he sells it in the latest transaction with no mention of the speaker problem.
There's a couple of idiotic things here. If the speaker really does distort, then damn him for not disclosing it.
If it was fine, then damn him for sullying someone else's feedback. And I find it strange that the buyer of that amp wouldn't check the feedback of the person selling it. Even a cursory examination would have revealed that the seller claimed that it was a blown or distorting speaker.
And to think I wondered how SO MANY people got scammed on eBay.

Fernando Saunders Signature model 5-string fretless, mde by Windmill Guitars.

Beautious! And simple- no tone knob; no volume knob; just a pan pot.

Vigier Passion II
Fretless with a metal fretboard, carbon fiber neck, says the bridge is mounted onto another piece of brass which is countersunk into the body. He says the pickups are single coil - they look like soapbars with notches cut out under each string.
A lot of interesting concepts all bundled onto one bass. It's not a brand I'm familiar with, but looks like they are still in business and producing similar instruments. < HERE >

Vigier! yep, I remember them from the late 80's/early '90's. Very high-tech. Roger Glover of Deep Purple plays a couple of them. Some odd body shapes, but hey- somebody's got to push the envelope.

Tube-driven bass distortion pedal

I know there are practical reasons for keeping the tube outside of the main box; but doesn't that make it more fragile and risk having it knocked off?

The listing has so many spelling errors that it makes me wonder if the guy has any idea what he is doing.
Here are a few I noticed.
strenght semetric area's Detriot polyurathane lenghts neoprean soldiered acount Premimum
I hope he pays more attention to detail when he is putting together his so-called cabinets.

Ahoy, Matey! I see a whale of a deal off the port bow.

I hope he pays more attention to detail when he is putting together his so-called cabinets. "The round design is truely unique because of it's efficiency. Sound waves are not wasted on resonance or in high sound pressure area's inside the cabinet. The sound either comes out the front, or captured and sent out through a tuned port in the most direct and semetric way possible. There is no need for heavy insulation. So all that you are left with is a warm, round sound that is surprisingly loud for a 15" speaker." I know a fair bit about acoustics and it is quite clear to me that the person who posted that add in ebay hasnt a clue. The quote above makes absolutely no physical sense whatsoever. In fact all the physics in that quote is so incredibly inaccurate. Thats not to say the cab wont sound good. It might sound fine but im very dubious.

I wish we could find the guy who bought it and try it out! But the first thing that struck me was "american made". This makes me think of cars that break down so you have to buy them more often. Jonathan

Paul K is building something like this.
http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php?/ubb/get_topic/f/5/t/016096/p/1.html#000027
Looks like he might be the Paul K mentioned in the ebay article.
Rui, something tells me you and Alex are going to have fun.

hehe dont get me wrong, there could be nothing at all wrong with the design, it might work well and if the maker has got internal volume and port size ratios at a nice setup it should be ok. Without internal cavity measurements or details of dampening used etc its hard to know what it will sound like. The thing that bugged me was what the poster wrote, as in itself it simply made no physical sense.
