Hello Old Boy, it crept up on me too. An honor tho! See you in the home! Jim

Or at least super-size our strings. BTW, none of you "junior" members can post here until you reach vaulted "senior" status .

As a junior member, I feel obliged to thank you senior members for your wisdom (yeah, I'm serious and bustin' at the same time). Being chronologically middle aged, I can understand the value of experience. And I'd think you should get something, and a free refill of BP mag would be a good deal.

Lug, watch out when you get to the old folks home. There may be a part time low ender who is looking to boil you in the bath...

Tom, you are very observant ..... for a junior member. I'm gonna check with Ed to see if we can have you elevated to senior member ASAP. (hint:
respond to this post several times). How 'bout it Ed, promote Tom. He's gettin up there in years and needs this promotion before mandatory retirement kicks in.

Maybe we should all do versions of "Ole Rockin' Chair Gon' Get Ya" and post MP3s somewhere so we can wallow in weltshmerz. (What's that? Speak up, Sonny, you're mumblin'!)

Well, I don't have the authority to promote anyone to senior member before their time! The wise administrators at musicplayer.com know the temptation I would face from all the fabulous bribes would be more than I could resist. Tom will just have to hold on until his time comes!

Just when I was about to start offering free carwashes to senior members the truth comes out.

Does anyone want to buy 300 pounds of Turtle Wax?

While I'm old (just ask my daughter), I'm not that old. I can wait. This will give me a chance to mature gracefully (no shot at that - ask aforementioned daughter). Besides, my rock band only plays one gig a year (in the guitar players back yard) - at that rate, it'll be years before I make senior status.

Ed - glad to see controls are in place. I know you'd promote me after the ER - Carvin thing in some other thread.

Thanks to Lug for pushing my candidacy. I'm going to boil something tonight in his honor.

Does this mean when we play the 80's covers that we have to wear the spandex pants to our armpits?

Tom, boil your monster cables. It gives them a jazzier sound.

Cornbread do NOT boil the spandex .... What happens isn't pretty.

Maybe we need to start a little archive for favorite soup recipes? How about one for the traditional New England Boiled Dinner?

80 gallons water
1 lb salt
one Patriots quarterback
boil until tender

I'm a Giants fan, so maybe I'm not up on this.
I thought the Patriots QB was tender even before you boiled him...

Ed - maybe along with the recipes, you could coordinate a CD of hot bass tunes and call it something like "Boiled Bass". Put something from Tim Bogert in for me (Tim - if you read this, I'm not implying we boil you like we do so many other beloved items ).

Tom

Who are the Patriots?

The Patriots were former members of Paul Revere and The Raiders. They are affiliated with AFC, not BMI as some have previously thought.

Oh, those Patriots. I thought you were talking about a football team in the Boston area.
