What does everybody think of tube vs. solid state amps? Especially given cost differences. I've always been a tube amp guy for guitars, but this is a whole new ballgame for me, and if I can find a relatively inexpensive (anf Lighter!) solid-state amp that'll deliver the goods I'm wide open. Along those lines:
Anybody have an opinion about the Fender Bassman 200? I played thru a 100 at church but more as a stage monitor than anything else. I did like it, though I'm afraid that maybe I'm just too dumb about bass amps to know any better...
