This is my first post to this forum. While I have been on the music player forum for a couple years now, this is my first time getting involved in the song writing forum. Forgive me if I disobey any customs of the forum out of ignorance.
I just moved to LA and am looking for work (I am engineer, Pro tools, program, etc). In the mean time I want to use my spare time to do more writing. It would be nice to meet other writers in the area to colaborate with, or just get aquianted with.
I do pretty much commercail music, such as Max Martin, Mutt Lang style writing (stop laughing! :-)). So are there any other pop heads out there?
I have a nice writing set up already (pro tools mix+, Logic Audio Platinum, XV-5080, Triton, S-6000, Avalon Mic Pre, etc etc. But being new to the area I don't have access to singers I can barter with like back in the NYC/NJ area. Any advice on this would be appreciated too. Is there a network setup in city?
