this is my first post in pretty much any forum and i'm quite tired, so please excuse the errors...
i've been writing since i've been able to read and i've been writing songs for about 9 years. I recently gave up on looking for people to start a band with and started to record bass, guitar, drums using software, vocals, and whatever else on my own.
In the last weeks, i've been trying to work with a rather ambitious themed album concept but i came across one major problem, everything i write, in my eyes, is total crap. sure, i've got more experience than some and everyone who had an open mind about what i wrote loved it, but i see it as nothing but filth. i know enough to crawl before i can run and start on single songs, possibly a few more covers, before even vaguely considering the album concept but..if i can't even like what i write, how can i have any kind of drive to work on anything new or pick up an old project? i don't really care what the end results are just as long as i can be happy with them
i think i'll end the post there, if anybody has any thing to say to help, i would be deeply grateful...even useless trivia, it doesn't matter.
thanks to whomever read this far and an extra thanks (in advance) to anyone with something to add to this post.

I know what ya mean about trying to form a band-but it doesn`t sound like that`s necessarily what you need. Why not try to find one or two multi-instrumental or engineering/producing people, who could do several things well? If you are dead set on playing your album live, worry about a band after you get the thing recorded.
