....anybody on this board who would it be and why?

I'll say Ted cause we're both from the same era and share similar musical tastes, and he sounds like a funny mofo to hang with. Plays a mean guitar too.
Lee, cause how cool is it to have such a musical/technical/permaculturist chick hangin out kickin ass and taking names? I love her guitfiddle work and taste in tunage as well. Hope "what the ?" comes to town, should be fun.
VD King (aka DGauss), I bet we might get put in jail if we went out on the town.....plus if you don't like Better off Dead.....you might be dead! \:\)
Curve - we haven't always seen eye to eye, but I really think he is insightful, technically in the pocket, and probably a cool guy to have a few pints with. Check out his work, its impressive.
Myles, cause I can talk amps all night all day every day. The man has patience as well! \:\)
Alpha - talk about a guy who calls a spade a spade, I'd love to pick his brain. I can't imagine a better working/creative environment than his studio.....looks cool.
Fantasticsound, cause I'm a gigging musician and he does "fantastic" sound, as well as diggin steel strings and a bar, either pedal or pedal-less. Great tech advice there.
Craig and Roger - who wouldn't love having these guys around, taking the abstract and making it digestable for the serfs like me!

I feel like I'm leaving someone out, however this is just an example of how similar we are despite our obvious differences either real or imagined. So there you have it, whats your cut? \:\)

Of course Craig, followed by... OKeefe, Curve,
Dan South, Fletcher, Julian and then just about anyone else from these boards in no particular order would be an honor I'm sure.

Oh yeah and -can't remember his handle- that fellow we had the discussion with the Bill Gates type of fellow who had a patent and a bunch of online documentation that I never did completely understand about a new tuning standard he was pushing.

I want to meet Lee Flier! So we can talk about Keith Richards all night long. Believe me, there's very few people who are willing or able to talk about Keith Richards all night long. Speaking of which: Stones on tour this fall!

I wanna meet all of ya. Geenard Strat, and have a jam thang...oh, geez, everyone. I have met a couple...Ani'fa, and HenrysB3. That was really cool, because, when you meet, it's sorta like you're friends already.

I would really like to have some sort of huge musicplayer.com jam thing. I realize it's probably logistically not probable, but it sure sounds like fun!

OK then, let's make a pact: if anybody wins the lottery or gets that big hit record, they have to finance a musicplayer.com jam session! You know, fly everybody out and put them up somewhere and rent some hall where we can all hang out and jam. Deal? \:\)

Amanda: you KNOW I'll talk about Keith all night! Not to mention play Stones songs all night....LOL

I've actually already met several people on these forums - alphajerk, Fletcher, stevepow, Chip McDonald... and talked to more on the phone - Craig, Phil O'Keefe, Bob Ohlsson, Dave Bryce, a few others. Great folks one and all! And hope to meet more of you. Gene, I'm quite sure we'll be playing up in your neck of the woods soon enough. And we'll probably play Nashville too, home of Neil (fantasticsound), George M. and quite a few others.

And somehow, one of these days I've GOT to meet Tedster and d gauss! Be great to all split a bill, eh? \:\)

Deal, but you've gotta share some of your war stories...meeting some of those folks you've met, over a beer. Or, a couple of beers. Or, several beers. Would you believe a six pack and bottle of Cuervo? \:D \:D \:D And you've gotta bring your Les Paul. I've got a couple of amps. I've got a couple of guitars, too, but I don't think any of 'em would live up to your Paul.

This is pretty tough 'cause I like & respect 'most ever' one on this forum.

If we're only on THIS Songwriters forum, here goes. They're people I've had the honor to have had contact with, in one way or another, and/or put a melody to their great lyrics even though their's was great.

Definatley not in order of preference.

Dan Worley. So many wonderful ways to go. Love that play soundtrack.
Live Music. We've had our run ins & I'm waiting to hear what he's got going.
AniFa. Man, what a writer. Hell of a good singer too.
W.F. Turner. Writes like I feel way too often. Great lyrics & melodies.
Tedster. The faith expressed is much appreciated & a pretty damned good player too.
Halljams. Great voice & vibe in his tunes. Wish he was more confident in his vocal ability.
Dblackjedi. Lots of respect for this young man's presentation, and he has some good music too.
Elbert James. Always great advise and insight. I've learned a lot from EJ.
Desoto. Great deal of curiosity here. Really good music & a different way about it.

There are definately others out there on the Musicplayer forums that I really like and admire. I'm holding this to strictly reflect the people who've made a lasting impression on me in this Songwriters forum only.
The list would be somewhat different in the SSS forum because of the interaction.

All Y'all are great folks.

Thanks Dak, I'd enjoy meeting you also and have a live jam session. I might find a country market in me after all. \:D I think it would be fun putting a new flavor in some old tunes.

I've met Tedster, and as he said, seemed like we'd already been old friends by the time I approached him on the band set at break time. I forgot and introduced myself by my "real" name and it took him a second to realize who I was. :p Really super nice guy, his co-workers were great people too.

Also, it would be my pleasure to meet Jim B. in Indiana; when I get around to the final stages on the site, I will be launching a new section specifically on film music... I'd like to talk to Jim more about getting out of jingles and into soundtracks.

CMDN, I would like to meet and maybe sing some live vocals over his backup band

And PHAT, Jim, I'd enjoy hearing more of your cool tunes.

I haven't had much interaction with all the rest, but I'd enjoy meeting everyone and having one GREAT BIG jam..... Crank up the sound..... open up the flames for a hog roast and bring on the kegs.... Of course, I'd be drinking my brandy since I'm not much on beer \:D But I'd be having lots of fun just enjoying the fresh air and live music. Nothings better than an open air jamfest.

I'm honored to be noted on your list, Strat.. er, Geenard! Your list covers a lot of the notables I too wish to meet. Actually, there are few souls on these forums I wouldn't be happy to speak to in person.

A couple other notables for me:

NYC Drew.. I'm sure I could spend a few days picking your brain for information, and you've been very interesting to listen to here.

Livemusic.. Duke always seems to post threads that interest me, and like Geenard and Tedster, I feel we share a lot of musical background.

I was pleased to by lunch for Bob Olhsson several months ago. He and his wife are wonderful people.

I also spent some time at Deluxereverb's studio, back when it was dual Roland VS-1680's. I'm tellin' you, don't say you can't make incredible recordings on a VS recorder. He was proving that idea wrong, everyday.

WF, that would be Will Pye. I attempted to email him only 2 weeks ago. (First time since his posts here.) Never received a reply... oh, well. Maybe if you give him a buzz...
