I wrote a song, but I composed it on a Yamaha keyboard. I used the organ and bass organ patches. Now it need to translate this to the B3. Now it sounds HORRIBLE . What tricks do you use when playing a song composed on one instrument to another?

I'm having trouble imagining how anything on a B3 could sound worse than on a Yammy keyboard.

I guess it depends on what the song calls for. I've written on guitar and tranfered to piano and vice versa, but I'd really need to know more about your tune to offer any real advice.

Sometimes it might need a completely different arrangement to transfer to a different instrument and this may end up not working. The main thing is use what the song needs, not necessarily your fav instrument or your usual instruments.

Well, when I wrote them I had the Yamaha. One of the songs perfectly translated to the "B". The other wasn`t so good. An internet friend who plays "B" said let the bass lag a little bit behind the start of the chords, that helped a lot. Sometimes an eighted to a full quarter note lag works wonders. Kcbass
