Yep, met the lovely Ani'fa...who was kind enough to come out and suffer through our gig last night at American Bandstand here in Kansas City.

Thanks for coming out, to you and Linda, your sister!

That was our first time there, and the breaks were short and timed...they had an automated D.J. that played on our breaks, and they would tell us the last song, and we were supposed to try to segue right out of the last tune. Kind of a new approach for me, but, it kinda curtailed my "crowd yapping". But overall we had a bit of fun.

Yep, met the lovely Ani'fa...who was kind enough to come out and suffer through our gig last night at American Bandstand here in Kansas City. Thank you for your kind words Ted, it was my pleasure.

As I said I would write a review for everyone to see, HERE GOES...

Although the majority of all songs performed were cover materials, PHD, Tedsters band, pulled a nice and nifty crowd through the doors. The evening started out with what appeared to be the average regulars in attendance. As the evening progressed more and more people moved in and onto the dance floor. These guys were really rocking the house and before long it was a standing-room-only seating arrangement. Every song, except for one, pulled a full dance floor of people. One man actually picked his lady friend up and CARRIED her onto the dance floor; once he got her turned on, he couldn't get her off. \:D

The one song that did not pull the dance crowd was an original song where people gathered around the perimeter of the floor to listen intently. Tedster plays one helluva guitar, along with the rest of the band being great as well. The leads and harmonizing on the vocals performed by all three singers were awesome. Towards the end of the evening after the crowd had started thinning down; there was this little Young-Old lady that got up on the dance floor and really began to strut her stuff.... She had to have been her seventies and beyond, but you'd have thought she'd just turned twenty-one and legal. Appanrently having waited for the bulk of the crowd to thin, this little lady took the dance floor by herself to find that she would not be alone... With each successing song played, she attracted a new dance partner who had been waiting to cut in from the song before.

I had a very enjoyable time, and the band is great!!! Ted.... Work on those originals and start putting them into your line up of songs to play out live.
