Here are three lyrics from my own projekt "The Nameless Demons".
You may may criticize them.
You also may put your own lyrics under them and I will criticize them.

EXPLOSION OF FEAR (13.09.2001)
Yesterday the earth stood still
And the innocence fell apart
Today we`re laying paralysed
Just to consider ourselves again
There`s an explosion of fear
In every human soul
We`re trying to creep forward
But we`re far out of reach
Not living and not dying
Emptiness still drains us
It`s a dull touch of ice
In a sanatorium called life
There`s an explosion of fear
In every human heart
A wall of hate and tears
In an icy trace of dust
CREED (October 1997)
Caged down in a steamy period
We stare and notice - prosy punny pulps
Take this in wilful whoop
And make it end the wisdom is within
Sprites form the spiteful ones
Gloom dreary themes - glower us at all
North country unkempt skulls
They blind uncertain - unless they fall apart
Unison odes in ochre eves
Shatter and die - excel the mortal doubt
Shreds of iternal shouts
Call through the shell - including feckless fiats
Fiends filch in holy fetters
Boast their time - white bodies turn to black
Fall in a long dark sleep
We`re at the end - say your creed and die
BAD FALL GROWING (October 1998)
Does it feel like coming down again?
Why does it really hurt to live?
Come in, Number 6, your time is up...
Or for what the hell are these tears?
Has everything beautiful to cut so deep?
Is it ill to see, to hear, to feel?
Or is it just this miserable fall again?
Didn`t I have enough already?
I got no chance against myself
One of my bad falls is growing
Where`s the legendary tale gone?
Oh why, why, why has it gone?
Is it the end this time or just a new beginning?
And do I need any balm again?

Seems like interesting stuff, but speaking only for myself, I can't really get into lyrics unless I've heard the music.

I agree with Dan, I have some poems I wrote a long time ago. With no music they are just poems, with music they become songs. (well, maybe) Some of the stuff I wrote is very similar to the style of Rod McKuen & to turn some of them into songs is beyond my musical abilities, at least at this time. There are other people on these MusicPlayer Forums who could & with luck, as I get to know them better I may ask for that help & receive it.

I'm not very good at commenting about abstract stuff. If it's straight forward, yes but with abstractness, who's to comment one way or the other?
BTW, you might want to put a copyright notice each time you post something, as when you post, it becomes public to the world. My understanding of U.S. copyright law is that it's copyrighted the moment committed to a medium (paper or webpage or tape or file) but the notice wouldn't hurt. Who knows, I may have forgot to do it, too.

ps:
IŽd like to have comment to those lyrics I have postet because I am from Germany and do not speak English very well. I don`t even know if this lyrics are grammatically ok...
