I'm listening to the first of 17 discs...begins as a neo-classical piano piece for about 5 minutes, then Macca breaks into Let It Be...
17 discs of the complete "Get Back" sessions, recorded in Jan 1969.
A lot of folks might think this is pure gibberish...but to me, stuff like this reveals a lot of insight into the songwriting process. Particularly as it relates to arranging etc. The whole shebang...warts and all...
What can I say? If it were up to me, I'd make a new Mt. Rushmore with the fabs on it.
There goes Tedster...into the Bacardi again..

God, I'd like to have that too? Is it a release or bootleg?

I'll find out...perhaps I can burn copies for all of you fellow mop-top-heads (said with mock Liverpudlian accent)
It's a bootleg, but supposedly made from the original master tapes, so the quality is relatively good. Relatively, mind you. It ends with Glyn Johns' 2nd mix of the "Get Back" album, some of which can be heard on the "Anthology Vol 3" CD. A lot of it so far is horsing around...breaking into various old songs, "Third Man Theme", some of the old stuff they used to do...a lot of jams that kinda fall apart. Must be nice to be rich enough to be able to do that in the studio. But there's an interesting, albeit sloppy, version of "All Things Must Pass". Makes you wonder why they didn't let George put that on one of their albums. It's a phenomenal tune.

I'd like to get in on the list before it gets too big tooooo. I'll gladly send you some blank CD's with return postage pre paid but by god that's some burnin! I can't not have it. There must be some solution. This is a serious dilemma you have confronted us with Ted. Allowing us to Know someone who has such material that is. Oh my god, i can't sleep already. Maby a "best of" CD that you copy for the boys. I dunno, i just don't know. Is there anything i can do?

Tell ya what...
I'll burn off a copy...send it to someone on the list...then they can do the same, etc. etc. etc...sound like a plan???
So far, it kinda shows the fabs about as un-fab as you can get. They're not fabs all of a sudden, they're four regular guys (actually five, 'cause Billy Preston is one of 'em too) who kinda sorta used to be in a live band but haven't played live together in years, striving to remember some of their old songs (not necessarily Beatle songs, just whatever), jamming on whatever comes into their heads until they get tired of it. Chances are if any four or five of us from any of these boards got randomly together with instruments, we'd sound as good. Maybe better. Which is no slight to the fabs...it just shows their human side, which is actually rather inspirational. To me, anyway...

Oooh, I want in! Heck, I'd pay for it. Tedster, if you can post the actual title and/or IBN number (or whatever they number CDs), I'll search the Internet for it and post my findings.
On a related note, I finally bought Magical Mystery Tour (the TV show) on DVD because I've never seen it. It's as horrible as critics have said, but it was a must-see for me just to see them. There weren't many extra stuff but they were pretty good - some news clips.

Oh gosh, can I please get into the burning circle? I'll gladly donate burning time, CDs whatever.
I've always heard legends of outakes but never seem to be able to find any. I do have a Lennon session thing on cassette I picked up in England ages ago. It's been forever since I listened, can't even remember what's on it.
