I have Lexicon PCM-91. I wonder how it would compare to TC Powercore Megaverb and Classic verb. Comparable ? Similar level of reverb quality ? Since PCM-91 does not work in 96kHz , I am thinking of a good substitute. Waves IR is CPU vampire and I feel that PCM -91 sounds a way better than Waves. I however have never heard Mega and Classic verbs (many people praise them a lot).

The PCM-91 will blow the PowerCore reverbs away. I mean that. Actually, even the PCM-81 reverbs handily take those of the PowerCore, for depth, width, and warmth.

I have a PCM-80 and a PowerCore, and while the PowerCore reverbs are a good bit better than just about every non-convolution reverb plug-in I've used or heard, a decent hardware box is still a better sound.

Don't most DAW's "automatically" (or manually) sample rate convert with devices connected digitally?

I have the 91 and 81 and they blow everything else away... At least what I can afford. \:\)

i compared the uad and powercore revs with Reverb4000 and PCM-90 . There's no comparison.

Altough, i wouldn't say one couldnt find use for it in a mix, unless you have tons of HQ outboards..

As for resampling, Nuendo asks if you want to resample when importing (not real-time) a file of different SR. If u connect a signal of different SR si, while Nuendo is on ext sync, it changes its time base and squishes the drawings of exisitng files, and plays them back up-speed or down-speed , respectively. Stupid. As far as I know, the only way is to have an audio card that features realtime SRC on its on-board DSP.

The very reason why i decided to get LynxAES16-SRC for my new card. Invaluable in these "almost-96k" times.
