I have a problem with a strong hum when connecting Lexicon through analog inserts cables to Digi 002. I have borrowed a hi-fi hi-tech home made power conditioner (25 kg ...) from a friend (quite costly) .He hoped that I would report better recorded sound through that, but it was not so. But one thing I could report for sure - the insert hum was reduced substantially (not 100% but still ...). So I wonder - is there any good, reasonably priced power conditioner available which could help me to reduce this kind of disturbance ? Furman or something like that ?

For-real power conditioning costs a lot, and weighs a lot too. Big toroidal transformers and that.

I would look at the cabling/wiring/routing, rather than at the power itself. If it was a power problem, you should have it all the time, with everything.

Which Lexicon box? There are some that are more noisey than others. The PCM-70 is for sure. Do you have a transformer circuit you can patch through?

I would guess it's not a power problem at any rate.

I've posted about this piece before . It works unbeliveable! Monster pro 3500 sells for around $300. bucks. (Google it and a bunch of licks will come up.)

I use PCM-91. It it probably a ground loop, but the fact is that 95% of that noise disappears when connecting everything to that power conditioner

The PCM-91 is a fairly quiet, recent-generation unit. I had one for a while. I now have Lexicon 300, PCM 70. You should not be getting any noticeable hum (compared to other hardware) with the PCM 91. If you can correct it with the power conditioner, great. But I would still try to determine the source of the problem, and see if you can eliminate it.
