i think i've got it down to deciding between these 2 consoles.... and would like opinions on both of these... eq's, pre's, routing, etc... ghost is more expensive, maybe out of range, but if i found a good used one....

also are these both brittish style eq's? thanks.

dont know much about the A/H..the Ghost is for the money a "rather" good mixingboard..The pres are pretty damm noisy..starts to build up around 40-45db of gain so dont expect to much ribbon mic gain without a lot of noise..the real deal would be the eq section imho..itīs for what it is rather good.

The real pain in the "biib" is doing service on one of those...2 things I would recorment to do at once would be to bypass, or at least chance the headphone output to a better stereo jack..it in series with the main mix output and has been know to fuck things up. The other thing would be to change the controlroom pot, and the mix fader to the best you can get. But be warned..you have to turn the darn thing over..take the bottom "lit" of and get in that way..not to speak of changing anything in the ch# sections..oh..boy..;-), but thatīs another storie..

Good luck

Kind regards

Peter

no one is familiar with both of these boards? ... i wonder if the price difference is in capabilites... would i be paying for a bunch of stuff i'd never use? how much difference in general tone quality is there. eq's and preamps i guess would be my main concern. if the eq and preamps in the a\heath could rival the ghost i'd probably go with the allen n heath. but does it? the ghost i suspect is capable of much more and i suspect that is part of the price diffence.
