Hello,
I am the live sound guy for a local club that once was a movie
theater. While in the depths of the basement the other night I came
across the old theater's (old meaning '40's or '50's, i think) audio
system. It is an all tube surround sound system that looks like it was
top of the line for it's time. I am having no luck finding any info on
the company, and thought that you may be able to help. The units were
made by the International Projector Corp., Bloomfield, N.J. Some of the
units say Simplex, and have the model #'s AM-1057, and AM-1024. Any
information you can provide me with would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
DAWG.

Amazing. How do you know it's "surround"? Number of inputs? Are the projectors (or the sound heads) still around?

I'm in a quandry. The guy that probably knows the most about old stuff like that is my pal Allen Sides. However, if you approach him, and they're worth anything, you'll never know it. I'll ask him off the record and let you know.
