You know, I don't know whether I've used C12VR's or not. Jeff Porcaro had a bunch of AKG "TUBE's" that we used for tom mics years ago. I suppose they were o.k. Most of the "modern" capsules that AKG made up until, oh, about 94 or 95 were the same crappy quality with different labels. Maybe with the more recent competition they've gotten serious again. As one A&R man said to the other, "I don't know, what do you think?"
