I have a Motu Midi Express XT with the parallel port interface, and I use Windows XP. The unit just doesn't work well with XP (every time I try to access the Clockworks software, a message says that the Motu is not detected); consequently, I will sell it it either for a new Express XT with the USB connection or purchase a Midiman Midisport 8x8. Any helpful suggestions on a reliable 8x8 interface? Thank you. Dan.

Yes the MOTU parallel interfaces don't work with XP. Go with either Edirol or Midiman.

I have the Midiman 8x8 and never had a problem with it running Cubase VST 5.1 under XP Pro.

I just ordered the Midiman Midisport 8x8 from The Midi-Store. I just sold my Moyu on Ebay.
