Short Post this Time.

I am posting on the same Forums as my original "Apple Loses My Vote..." thread as I promised a fellow forum member I would - please, no flames. I would have just added a reply to my original posts, but they've become quite an interesting read in their own rights and have had me ROTFLMAO.

I emailed 2 addresses at Apple given to my by where02190 and another kind poster. Within 12 hours I had an email from Apple US asking for a contact number and convenient time to call (8 hour time difference). Friday PM had that call and was promised that their UK counterpart would be informed. First thing today - call from UK counterpart (Apple Executive Corporate Relations) offering me a brand new machine and apologising for all the trouble. If the weekend hadn't intervened I am convinced I would have had positive resolution to my problems within 24 hours of my email. If only there were easier ways to get hold of decision makers in these large corporations. Anyway, for those who - like me - didn't know who to contact, it would seem that sjobs@apple.com is a functional email address taken seriously by people at Apple head office.

To everyone who replied and offered comments (positive and negative). Thankyou for your time. My faith is somewhat restored in Apple, and they assured me that their main focus is on eliminating these experiences and improving the response. Only time will tell.

Thanks again people.

Mike
